Saturday, November 20, 2010
9:30am - 3:00pm
Quinsigamond Community College
670 West Boylston Street, Worcester, MA

Highlights

At the Sister to Sister Summit, girls learn to become young women with integrity, self-awareness and personal authority. It’s about knowing yourself: how you feel, what you think and what you need. It’s also the ability to act on who you are in your relationships.

This year’s Sister to Sister Summit includes a special viewing of “A Girl’s Life,” a documentary about the effects of girl-on-girl violence, cyberbullying and body image by the girls who have faced it themselves, and focuses on individual awareness, empowerment, ownership, permission, community and self-esteem. Through interactive workshops, discussion, and a women’s leadership panel, girls are educated and prepared for situations faced by today’s young women.

The Sister to Sister Summit 2010 is supported by the Fred H. Daniels Foundation in partnership with AAUW.
